Ask Us about the FIRST TIME HOMEBUYERS TAX CREDIT. The provision provides a 'tax credit' of up to $7,500 for qualified first time home buyers. To be eligible for the credit, the home must be purchased after April 8, 2008, and before July 1, 2009. First time home buyers purchasing any kind of home, new or resale, are eligible for the tax credit. Homes must be their primary residence. The provision will be administered by the IRS and is referred to as a "Tax Credit".
